Benoît Delon-Jacquin is a sculptor and designer, born in Saint-Nazaire, France in 1997. He lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
In 2019, he obtained a Certificate of Professional Competence in Cooking through an apprenticeship in Le Croisic, France. In 2020, he enrolled at the Beaux-Arts de Nantes (School of Fine-Arts) in France and obtained his BFA with Honours for Singularity of Approach in 2022. As a student in the Master’s programme: Construire les Mondes (Building Worlds) at the School of Fine Arts Nantes, he obtained his MFA, Art Option, in 2024. He joined Julian Göthe’s Art and Space/Object workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Austria in 2024.
He exhibited his work in the Kunstraum Schwaz in Austria (2024), the Olivier Meyer Gallery Nantes in France (2025) and the Tianfu Image Art Center Chengdu in China (2026). He will have a solo exhibition at Red Carpet Showroom Vienna in December 2026. He founded _so_what_studio_ in 2026, an upholstery and sculpture studio working in the field of « in-between » spaces and transitional zones of experience.

Why are you a part of Magic Carpets: I am interested into understanding the legacy of architects, designers, artists from the generation of Juraj Dobrović, Julija Knifer & Vjenceslav Richter, in nowadays Croatian society. By conducting discussions with art historians, family members, and visiting artists’ homes, commissioned buildings, museum collections, we will try to bridge their heritage by designing a playground dedicated to Hvar islanders and especially Jelsa’s children.

As I watch Aube playing through my phone, I realised I missed her. While working in the studio, the thoughts of her could not go away. This work is a gift to her, a way of saying « J’aimerais être auprès de toi », I wish I was there with you.
