Why are you a part of MagiC Carpets: At Trempolino, we’d like to picture new forms of collaborations between artists and the local ecosystem. This means to give the artists a possibility to go beyond the role of “content supplier” and to get the “partner” role within the local development processes instead. Trempolino has joined MagiC Carpets platform to deliver new opportunities for artists. Moreover, Trempolino is mainly a “music organization” but this type of partitioning is less and less relevant for artists. MagiC Carpets platform will help us experiment with new forms of transdisciplinary approaches.
Why have you chosen to be a curator or why has curatorship chosen you? Because my director contracted this partnership and convinced me to follow this project. It’s my first European experience and I’m happy to carry this project for Trempolino and for me. It’s a new challenge!
What do you think is the purpose of art? Foster communication between people, whether we agree or disagree. Marvel! Surprise!
