Folkestone Fringe 2025: Flint & Clay runs from 1 September to 19 October 2025.
Deadline for submitting your events is at midnight on 12th June 2025.
Exploring what we choose to hold onto, for Folkestone Fringe 2025, the Fringe team will curate a town-wide conversation around three key questions/themes:
● What connects us?
● What divides us?
● (Un)Imagined Futures
The Fringe team will curate three ‘trails’ from proposals submitted under each of the themes.
Organisers are looking for public, participatory, performance and visual art work proposed by local organisations and individuals, at a variety of scales, which invite people to connect with their own thoughts and feelings whilst (re)exploring their town.

Folkestone Fringe is joining up with Open Art Folke this year – Open Art Folke is Folkestone’s artist-led new annual festival that inclusively showcases the extraordinary breadth of creativity in this little town by the sea.
Open Art 25, The Triennial Edition, will continue to build upon the mantra of “Art for all” by inviting anyone with a spark of imagination and a point of view to open up and share their energy. There is no theme, it’s all in your hands!
This year’s programme will run across the entire summer and into the autumn commencing on Friday 25th July and closing on Sunday 19th October. Anything can happen within those dates but the team’s creative energies will be focused on two “bloom weekends” and another very special event.
Bloom weekends: 26th-27th July / 29th-31st August
What goes? The sky’s the limit really as long as it’s artist led, open to the public, legal and you’ve got the right insurance.
