As a curator, I am interested in working in the public realm and working collaboratively with others to create shared cultural exchanges and experiences that everyone can be a part of. My aim is to encourage these cultural interactions in unexpected places, allowing new perspectives, skills, interests, and conversations to develop. Working closely with a wide range of artists, craftspeople, and specialists, I also aim to push the boundaries of what is perceived as art and consider it in its local and universal context.

Why are you a part of MagiC Carpets?
Because I want to be part of the European community, helping artists and curators to move and work across borders. Sharing their own stories and learning about the stories of others; ultimately leading to a better understanding and sense of togetherness.

Why have you chosen to be a curator or why has curatorship chosen you?
I’ve chosen to be a curator as I enjoy working closely with artists to help them develop and realize their projects. I enjoy communicating different ideas and forms of expression to the public and creating cultural exchanges and events where people can come together.

What do you think is the purpose of art?
To highlight, interpret, express, understand, explore, question, communicate and discover issues and stories. To share multiple perspectives, interpretations, forms of expression with others that can be engaged with on multiple levels.
